    EUREKA, Ill. -- David Throw (Cary, Ill./Cary-Grove H.S.) pitched into the sixth inning of game one to win his collegiate debut and Grant Mullin (Chicago, Ill./St. Rita) continued his March power surge with home runs in both ends of the doubleheader in the Eureka College baseball team's non-conference split with USCAA Robert Morris-Springfield, Sunday afternoon. The Red Devils won game one, 2-1, before the Eagles got even with a 10-6 triumph in the nightcap.

    EUREKA, Ill. – Grant Mullin (Chicago, Ill./St. Rita H.S.) hit a grand slam, Braxten Ary (Manito, Ill./Midwest Central H.S.) added his first collegiate home run and Mason Diederich (Washington, Ill./Washington H.S.) earned his first career save, leading the Eureka College baseball team to its fifth home-opening win since 2012 in an 11-9 victory over Monmouth, Wednesday afternoon at Henry Sand Field. EC and MC tied 4-4 in the nightcap after umpires called the game after seven innings due to darkness.

    EUREKA, Ill. -- The Eureka College baseball team will end a nine-day layoff from game competition when the Red Devils return home to begin a five-day, five-game homestand at Henry Sand Field. It’s scheduled to be Eureka’s first five-game homestand in the month of March since 2001.

The Red Devils dropped Sunday’s opener, a 10-4 setback versus Lawrence.

    EUREKA, Ill. -- The much-anticipated Jerry Rashid coaching era of Eureka College baseball begins Sunday when the Red Devils begin the 2018 campaign with a pair of non-conference games at the neutral site of Lenz Field in Jacksonville, Ill. Eureka will open the season on the artifical surface at 1 p.m. against Lawrence and follow with a 4 p.m. bout against Elmhurst.

LOUIS, Mo. – The Eureka College baseball team has been voted to finish fifth in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference West Division, according to an announcement from the league office. Webster was picked to win the West and Greenville was the preseason favorite in the SLIAC East Division.

    EUREKA, Ill. – Jerry Rashid has been appointed head coach of the Eureka College baseball team. An icon throughout the central Illinois baseball community, Rashid has won more than 800 games in 39 seasons at the high school level and is a member of the Illinois High School Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame.
