EC Baseball Honors Seniors Virtually

Good morning ladies and gentleman, and welcome to Today, we are honoring seniors from the 2020 Eureka baseball team with a virtual senior day.

Our first senior is Tyler Thulean. Tyler is a three-year member of the Red Devils. Despite being sidelined for two seasons due to injury, he was a valued member of the EC dugout. An infielder, Tyler appeared in 21 games in 2018 and recorded a .947 fielding percentage.

From Chillicothe, Illinois, No. 6 Tyler Thulean!

Our next senior is Kyle Finke. Kyle is a four-year member of the Red Devils. An infielder, he appeared in 36 games and collected 17 hits, drove in five runs and recorded a home run. He also made 77 putouts with 10 assists and recorded a .935 fielding percentage. He was an athletic trainer and a valued student-worker for the EC Athletic Department.

From Argenta, Illinois, No. 25 Kyle Finke!

Our next senior is Jake Carter. Jake is four-year member of the Red Devils. He appeared in 111 games, primarily as Eureka's starting second baseman. He racked up 83 hits, including 17 doubles, two triples and two home runs while driving in 40 runs and drawing 54 walks. He helped turn 21 double plays and had a .962 fielding percentage. In 14 games this season, he batted an even .300.

From Carlinville, Illinois, No. 5 Jake Carter!

Our next senior is Braxten Ary. Braxten is a four-year member of the Red Devils. An outfielder, he appeared in 105 games and was the Red Devils' starting left fielder for the past three seasons. He recorded 185 putouts, 15 assists and a .935 fielding percentage. At the plate, he notched 101 hits, including 13 doubles and 13 home runs. He drove in 49 runs, walked 37 times and had 25 stolen bases. He led the Red Devils this spring with a .308 batting average and 16 hits in 14 games.

From Green Valley, Illinois, No. 3 Braxten Ary!

Our final senior is Kyle Cashdollar. Kyle is five-year member of the Red Devils. After sitting out his first season due to injury, he appeared in 45 games, primarily as a right-handed pitcher in the EC bullpen. He logged 83 innings on the mound, notched 40 strikeouts, picked up three wins and made four starts. This spring, Kyle struck out 11 batters, recorded a 0.00 ERA and only allowed three hits in 9 1/3 innings of work.
