EUREKA – After a historic performance in a big win over Blackburn, Eureka's Ian Milsteadt (East Peoria, Ill./East Peoria/Illinois Central College) is the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week.

Milsteadt, a senior guard for the Red Devils, dropped 50 points and grabbed 11 rebounds while shooting 71.4 percent from the floor in EC's 95-93 win over the Beavers on Saturday.  It was Eureka's second 50-point performance in program history, falling just one point shy of tying a program record set by Milsteadt's former teammate Dakota Bennington versus Greenville on Feb. 11, 2019.

The senior shot a sizzling 15-for-21 from the floor, 7-for-11 from 3-point range and 13-for-14 from the foul line on Saturday as the Red Devils overcame a 14-point deficit in the second half and seized their second SLIAC win of the winter. Milsteadt averaged 29 points, 9.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists in the two SLIAC wins on the week.

This is Milsteadt's fourth time receiving SLIAC Player of the Week honors and his first of the 2021-22 season. At one point last season, he received the award in three consecutive weeks.

The Red Devils (6-7, 2-0 SLIAC) will continue their season 12 p.m. CT Saturday at Spalding (2-11, 0-1 SLIAC).
