Senior Spotlight: Javier Rivera

Eureka College sports information director Alex Hess caught up with senior Javier Rivera of the football for the ninth release of the 2015-16 weekly Senior Spotlight series that will have new seniors interviewed every Wednesday.

Q. What is your greatest athletic memory at Eureka College? 

Winning and bringing back the Lincoln Bowl trophy my senior season. The way the team played, the atmosphere and the fun I had during the game truly reminded me of why I love to play football.
 
Q. Describe yourself in one sentence? 

I am a hardworking and goofy individual.
 
Q. Aside from playing (sport), what are some of your other passions?

I really enjoying being active and lifting weights and also enjoy spending time with and joking around with friends and family.
 
Q. What do you plan on doing after graduation from Eureka College with your (degree)? 

I hope to acquire an internship with a federal government agency, such as the F.B.I or Secret Service. 
 
Q. What is one piece of advice you would give an incoming freshman? 

Take advantage of every opportunity that presents itself, and have fun while doing it.
