Senior Spotlight: Aaron Pearlman
Eureka College sports information director Alex Hess caught up with senior Aaron Pearlman of the Football Team for the fourth release of the 2015-16 weekly Senior Spotlight series that will have new seniors interviewed every Wednesday.
Q. What is your greatest athletic memory at Eureka College?
My greatest athletic memory would have to be beating Westminster on our Homecoming game during my sophomore year. It's always fun to beat Westminster, especially in front of a big crowd on Homecoming.
Q. Describe yourself in one sentence?
I am a passionate, hard-working individual who cares about helping those around me find their passions and better themselves.
Q. Aside from playing (sport), what are some of your other passions?
I love watching the Cubs (This year is the year!!), hanging out with my girlfriend; friends; and family, and volunteering within the community.
Q. What do you plan on doing after graduation from Eureka College with your (degree)?
After I graduate, I plan on teaching mathematics and coaching football at the high school level. I've always had a passion for working with young adults and being around the game of football. At some point I would like to try to coach at the collegiate level or pursue a Master's Degree in order to become an athletic director.
Q. What is one piece of advice you would give an incoming freshman?
Take the time to really enjoy these next four years of your life. It'll go by in a heartbeat, and it's really easy to get caught up in the moment and forget to appreciate all of the opportunities that you are given. There's nothing like playing a collegiate sport, and the memories that come with it will stay with you for the rest of your life. I've made some great memories and I've also met some of my best friends because I chose to play football here at Eureka. Enjoy these next four years!
