Provost Earns SLIAC Third Team All-Conference Honors
EUREKA, Ill. – Jaxson Provost (Kankakee, Ill./Bishop McNamara) has been named SLIAC Third Team All-Conference following a standout junior campaign for the Eureka men's basketball team.
Provost averaged 17.6 points per game to rank fifth in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference this season. He added 2.9 assists and 2.5 rebounds per game while totaling 422 points, 60 rebounds, and 69 assists across 24 games.
Provost also finished among the league leaders in several offensive categories. He ranked sixth in the SLIAC with 47 3-pointers made and fourth with 83 free throws made.
He delivered multiple standout performances throughout the year, including a career-high 32 points in an 80-77 victory over Blackburn on Nov. 25. Provost hit the 30-point mark three times during the season, scoring 30 points on Nov. 7 at Dominican, 32 against Blackburn, and 31 on Jan. 10 against Lyon.
In addition, senior Jacob Gonzalez (Los Angeles, Calif./Chatsworth Charter) was named to the SLIAC All-Sportsmanship Team, recognizing his leadership and commitment to the values of the conference throughout the season.
