Ashlyn Voyles Named SLIAC Hitter of the Week

EUREKA, Ill. – Eureka's Ashlyn Voyles (Farmer City, Ill./Farmer City) has been named the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Hitter of the Week.

Stepping up at the plate in a big way, she delivered a dominant offensive performance throughout the week, starting with an explosive showing in a doubleheader against Knox on March 11. She went 6-for-7 across both games, ripping two doubles and driving in six runs.

She continued her strong hitting on March 14 in a doubleheader against Mount Mary, going 3-for-9 with another double and three RBIs.

By the end of the week, she had compiled an impressive .563 batting average and nine total RBIs, while also posting a .750 slugging percentage.

Voyles and the Red Devils return to action on Saturday when they host Cornell for a doubleheader. The first game is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.
