Danika Apostolovich Named SLIAC Hitter of the Week

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Eureka softball's Danika Apostolovich (Riverside, Ill./Riverside-Brookfield) has been named the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Hitter of the Week following a standout performance at Lyon on Saturday.

In game one, Apostolovich delivered a perfect 2-for-2 performance at the plate, driving in five runs and scoring four times to lead the Red Devils to a 15-5 victory in six innings due to the run rule. She also added a walk, was hit by a pitch, and recorded a triple in the win.

She followed that up with another flawless showing in game two, going 3-for-3 with a run scored and two stolen bases in a 7-4 loss.

Apostolovich and the Red Devils return to action tomorrow at home as they host Monmouth for a doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m.
