EC Women’s Basketball Releases 2021-22 Recruiting Class
EUREKA – Eureka College women's basketball coach Jaylynn Stewart announced the addition of three new players to the program on Tuesday.
The former Red Devil standout's second recruiting class since taking over the program features two freshmen and one junior transfer.
This group will join 13 returners who are coming off a shortened spring season in which the team made it within one win away from playing for a St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference title.
The EC women's basketball team has made it to the SLIAC Tournament semifinals in eight of the last 10 seasons.
"We couldn't be more excited to have Sydney, Josie and Hannah joining our program," Stewart said. "They're great people, great students, and great athletes, and they will only continue to elevate the culture we're building here at EC. The future is bright for Eureka women's basketball!"

Hannah Burkiett (FR, 5-4, Guard, Kinesiology, Elmwood, Ill., Elmwood H.S.)

Sydney Hannam (JR, 5-6, Guard, Physical Therapy, Canton, Ill., Canton H.S./Spoon River College)

Josie Ness (FR, 5-11, Guard/Forward, Elementary Education, Sandwich, Ill./Sandwich H.S.)
