Eureka Wraps Up Season at SLIAC Women’s Golf Championship
UNION, Mo. – The Eureka women's golf team wrapped up its fall season this week, competing at the 2025 SLIAC Women's Golf Championship at Birch Creek Golf Club. The Red Devils placed ninth in the team standings with a total score of +572 over three rounds.
Senior Ashlyn Voyles led the Red Devils with a 28th-place individual finish at +75. She carded rounds of 99 (+27), 94 (+22) and 98 (+26) to close out her collegiate career.
Gabby Penberthy followed in 35th at +94 (99, 106, 105), while Reece Putrich placed 47th at +196 (148, 131, 133). Hannah Jachimiak finished 48th at +207 (149, 139, 135), and Brailyn Zimmerman came in 49th at +227 (161, 142, 140).
Voyles also represented Eureka on the SLIAC All-Sportsmanship Team, earning recognition for her leadership and commitment on and off the course.
Head Coach Chip Wilde praised his team's effort and the leadership of his veterans.
"I was really proud of our group's effort this week," Wilde said. "Three of our players were competing in their first SLIAC Championship, and they were guided by our two veterans, Gabby Penberthy and Ashlyn Voyles. Ashlyn capped one of the most accomplished careers in Eureka College women's golf history, and we are very proud of her. She's left a lasting impact on the program and will certainly be missed."
Grinnell captured the team championship at +40, followed by Lake Forest (+83) and MUW (+121).
