Four Red Devils Earn SLIAC All-Conference Honors

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Following strong performances at the SLIAC Men's Wrestling Championship, four Eureka wrestlers have earned SLIAC All-Conference honors, highlighted by freshman Sargent Maubach, who secured First Team recognition with an individual conference title at 174 pounds.

Maubach led the way for the Red Devils, advancing through the bracket with a medical forfeit victory over Tyler Gardner (McMurry) in the quarterfinals before edging Jemarion Moore (Ozarks) in a 4-3 semifinal decision. In the championship match, Maubach delivered a 4-0 decision over Thomas Seglio (Huntingdon) to claim Eureka's lone individual title of the meet.

Trevor Hedges (141) earned Second Team honors after finishing as runner-up. The junior received a bye into the semifinals and posted a 1:58 technical fall over Luke Adams (Ozarks) to reach the finals. In the championship bout, Hedges suffered a knee injury early but continued to compete before ultimately falling by injury default to Ashton Keller (Schreiner). The finish marks Hedges' second career All-Conference selection after earning First Team recognition as a freshman in 2024 and missing last season's championship meet due to injury.

Also earning Second Team honors was Alex Muhammad (157), who secured his second consecutive All-Conference recognition after being named to the Third Team as a junior. Muhammad opened with a 13-6 decision over Landon Rofkahr (Ozarks) and followed with a 0:51 pin of Casen Guidry (Huntingdon) in the semifinals. He was defeated in the finals by fall (5:08) to Damion Jones (Huntingdon).

Senior Billy Tucker (149) rounded out Eureka's All-Conference selections with Third Team honors after a third-place finish. Competing in his first season with the Red Devils, Tucker pinned teammate Tanner Finin in 1:58 in the opening round before falling in the semifinals. He responded with a 0:54 pin over Clay Queen Jr. (Lyon) and secured third place via forfeit.

Jeremiah Robertson represented Eureka on the SLIAC All-Sportsmanship Team, while the Red Devils were collectively recognized with the SLIAC Team Sportsmanship Award.
