MADISON, WIS. – Abby Swope (Canton, Ill./Canton) made a season-high 24 saves, but Edgewood claimed an 8-0 non-conference victory over the Eureka women's soccer team Tuesday night at Goodman Sports Complex.
Madison Shines (Marengo, Ill./Marengo Community) recorded a shot, but EC was unable to get any shots on frame.
Swope notched 237 saves in 2018 and has 71 saves through four matches of the 2019 season, putting her on pace to match her total from last season.
Maddy Solder's goal in the eighth minute was the winner for the Eagles, who scored three of their eight goals in the first half. Solder finished with two goals and six others put away one for the the home team, as well.
Eureka will travel to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on Saturday to take on Alverno at 1 p.m.
