Women’s Soccer Drops First Away Game

BEREA, Ky. – The Eureka women's soccer team struggled in their first away game of the season, losing to Berea 11-0 on Sunday afternoon.

The Mountaineers quickly took control of the game, scoring a goal in the 2^nd minute. Berea never looked back after that goal, adding four more goals in the first half, to hold a commanding 5-0 lead at the break. They scored six additional goals in the second half, ending the game with an 11-0 victory.

The Red Devils managed only one shot and none on target, compared to 31 shots and 18 on target for Berea. Freshman Daphne Collette (Murray, Utah/Murray) recorded the only shot for Eureka. Freshman goalkeeper Hannah Jachimiak (Arvada, Colo./Ralston Valley) recorded 6 saves in 66 minutes of play.
