Eureka Falls on the Road at Greenville

GREENVILLE, Ill. – The Eureka women's soccer team fell 12-0 to Greenville on Wednesday night in SLIAC play.

The Panthers came out firing, tallying seven goals in the first half and adding five more after the break to secure the win. Greenville wasted no time setting the tone, scoring in the third and fifth minutes to seize early control. Their strong attack kept Eureka pinned in its defensive half for much of the opening period, as the Panthers built a comfortable lead before halftime.

Despite the challenging outing, goalkeeper Naitzy Garcia (Mendota, Ill./Mendota) put together a strong performance between the posts, recording 11 saves while facing 47 total shots from Greenville. The Red Devils managed to create a few chances in the attacking third, including shots from Krisean Buchana (St. Louis, Mo./Ritenour) and Ryann Webster (Madison Heights, Mich./Royal Oak), but could not find the back of the net.
