Red Devils Compete at D3 Invite

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – The Eureka women's wrestling team competed at the D3 Invite over the weekend hosted by Augustana.

At 103 pounds, Sofia Kawano dropped her opening match by technical fall (10-0), sending her to the consolation bracket. She responded with a dominant 12-2 technical fall victory before losing 14-3 by technical fall to end her day.

At 110 pounds, Kyley Bair advanced to the quarterfinals after receiving a bye and securing a pin in 2:50. She then lost by technical fall (10-0) and dropped a close 1-0 decision in the consolation bracket.

At 131 pounds, Natallie Tobuk also reached the quarterfinals after a bye and a 10-0 technical fall victory. She then fell by technical fall (10-0) and later by fall (5:43) in the consolation bracket.

At 160 pounds, Jaylah Dalton received a bye in the first round but was pinned in 29 seconds in the second round. She responded with an impressive 35-second pin in the consolation bracket before falling 10-0 by technical fall in her final match.

At 207 pounds, Tayla Phillips won her first match by decision (6-3) before receiving two forfeits to conclude her competition.
