Men's Basketball Places Program-Record Eight on NABC Honors Court
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Eureka College men's basketball program continued its tradition of academic excellence this week, placing a program-record eight student-athletes on the 2025-26 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court.
The eight selections are the most in program history, surpassing last year's record of six honorees.
Representing the Red Devils on this year's NABC Honors Court are Ben Carter (Morton, Ill./Morton), Colin DeLaere (Pekin, Ill./Pekin Community), Jacob Gonzalez (Los Angeles, Calif./Chatsworth Charter), Joel Ewald (Roscommon, Mich./Roscommon), Mussie Hayelom (Skokie, Ill./Niles North), Max Richardson (LaHarpe, Ill./Illini West), Nicholaus Harris-Huntley (Milwaukee, Wis./Marquette), and Nolan Kerr (Macomb, Ill./Macomb).
Carter, Gonzalez, Ewald, and Harris-Huntley each earned NABC Honors Court recognition for the second straight year.
To be named to the NABC Honors Court, a student-athlete must meet the following academic criteria:
- Be an academically classified junior, senior, or graduate student and a varsity player.
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the academic year.
- Compete at a four-year institution with at least one active NABC-member coach.
