Jordan Brooks Selected Eureka College Scholar-Athlete of the Week

 EUREKA – Jordan Brooks (St. Joseph, Ill./St. Joseph-Ogden) of the Eureka men's basketball is this week's Eureka College Scholar-Athletes of the Week.

The Eureka College Scholar-Athlete of the Week award goes to one male and one female student-athlete every week based on academic achievement and performance in that week's slate of athletic competitions. EC student-athletes must hold at least a cumulative 3.0 grade point average and have completed at least one semester to be eligible for the award.

Brooks, a senior guard who transferred from Lincoln Land Community College last year, notched 11 points, two rebounds and two assists off the bench in Eureka's 90-78 victory over York (N.Y.) in Newark, New Jersey. He knocked down three 3-pointers and put away a pair of free throws.

In three games this season, Brooks is averaging 7.3 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game and is shooting 40 percent from distance. He is majoring in sports management.
